Letter from the Editor: Spring/Summer 2023 Edition
Dear readers,
During this time of year, growth is all around us. Flowers are in bloom, the sun is shining, and the breeze is warm. Some of us will find ourselves sporting graduation caps and saying goodbye to classmates in crowded, humid gymnasiums.
Others will pile into overpacked cars filled with whatever they can fit into their dorms. Or, in some cases, boxes filled with university memories that will find themselves in childhood rooms.
Spring and summer are formative seasons for many reasons, which is why the decision for this magazine issue was simple.
Welcome to The Growth Issue, the final edition of Volume 3! Growth can be described in many ways. However, we really wanted to hone in on self-growth and what this often looks like for young people.
I think we’re always growing – it’s human nature. Whether you realize it or not, you are in a state of growth each day.
Our writers covered an array of topics in an effort to highlight this aspect of our everyday lives, from dealing with homesickness while studying abroad to growing your career as a freelancer.
We hope you can learn a few things from this issue or, at the very least, see your own growth reflected in our articles. The whole team at Youth Mind has worked so hard to complete this issue, and I’m confident it shows.
Happy reading!
Sincerely,
Melanie Lennon
